Exporting basketball victory to Paris, France

Some Parisians and us after a game of basketball beneath the Eiffel Tower on Oct. 12, 2008.

We beat up on some Dutch guys in Amsterdam playing basketball last week. Then, in Paris, France, we came upon a similar group and couldn’t spare them. In the shadow of the Eiffel Tower, we had a good match, shared some French and won outright.

Trading basketball for directions in Amsterdam

Sean likes to say that my only means of social interaction come through athletic competition.

So, when walking back to our hostel, without a real plan what to do, coming upon Vincent (left, with ball) and Justin playing basketball was a blessing. We beat them 11-3, shook hands and then asked their advice about what was really worth seeing and doing in Amsterdam.
