How to get an ISIC card, even if you’re not in college

The ISIC card (that’s International Student Identity Card) can be your gateway to a hefty student discount on flights, trains, and other travel necessities. The commonly used STA travel agency requires the ISIC card for all of its student rates and getting a card is easier than you think. In fact, it’s so easy that you really don’t have to even be in college.
First, you need to prove you are a student. You have to email your ID, transcript, and current class chedule to proof@statravel.com. When I applied for a card I had been out of college for nearly two months, and was able to use a scan of my old student ID. If you have any sort of Microsoft Paint skills, it is likely that you could fib your way into obtaining a card. I never received any phone calls or confirmation.
Head on over to STA’s ISIC section. The ISIC card will set you back $22, but it more than makes up for it in the discounts you recieve. Wink and I were able to get flights from Newark to London for $350.
However aside from our initial flight, we have never been asked for the card nor has any other business given us any sort of discount. In fact, we were not even asked for it upon boarding the plane. Theoretically we could have been 35 and purchased student rate tickets. According to the Web site, there are several purks to shelling out $26 … we just haven’t found any.

Only once was my good old Polytech student ID card not accepted in Europe…most student ID cards are pretty obvious looking and, let’s be honest, most employees don’t really care. I know I wouldn’t.
Various people in the world get the loan in different creditors, just because it is simple.
